Dylan Barth is a Learning Technology Consultant in UWM’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL), where he co-coordinates the Online and Blended Teaching Program and UWM's Certificate for Online and Blended Teaching. In CETL, Dylan assists with D2L site administration and support, and his areas of focus include online and blended pedagogy, asynchronous discussions, active learning classroom strategies, gamification, and learning analytics. Dylan serves as the UWM liaison for both a UW System learning analytics pilot and a UW System Canvas pilot and has participated as a consultant and an instructor on two Gates Foundation Next Generation Learning Challenges (NGLC) grants. Dylan also serves as the Online Programs Coordinator through the Office of the Provost, where he provides assistance with the overall administration and implementation of online education courses, degrees, and programs. Dylan graduated from the EDUCAUSE Institute Learning Technology Leadership Program in 2013 and is a recipient of the Desire2Excel Impact Award for his involvement in the U-Pace project at UWM. Finally, Dylan teaches blended business writing courses in the Department of English and was selected to be an 2015-16 OPID Wisconsin Teaching Fellow.
