Does expressing our belief in our students’ potential for success matter? Are there ways for us to communicate caring and our belief in their ability to master the learning expected in our courses?
Do we convey a sense of “weeding” out our students or send the message that they belong here and can succeed?
This follow-up session builds off of the UWM Teaching and Learning Symposium keynote speaker’s reference to evidence of the significant impact on students when we affirm their potential for success. Guest instructors will offer strategies and participants will examine strategies they can implement to communicate caring and belief in our students.
