About the Online and Blended Teaching Program (OBTP)

Are you scheduled to teach an online or blended course? If so, the Online and Blended Teaching Program—also known as OBTP—can help! OBTP provides practical pedagogical strategies for teaching an online or blended course. OBTP is supported by research and has been developed by CETL staff members with firsthand experience teaching online and blended courses. OBTP is offered in three formats to meet the diverse needs and preferences of UWM instructors.

This registration page is for one of six workshops offered in the online synchronous format. Please see the Online and Blended Teaching Program website for more information about the other formats.

About the Online Synchronous Workshop Series

The online synchronous offerings of OBTP are a series of six, one-hour sessions that take place online using the Collaborate Ultra web conferencing tool. This is a good option for instructors who are at a distance and want to ask questions in real time. The first half of each session will provide content related to the workshop topic, and the second half will focus on participant questions. This series of workshops focuses on pedagogical practices but does NOT provide training on technology tools.

The six workshops offered in this series are:

  • OBTP 1: Overview of Online and Blended Teaching
  • OBTP 2: Assessing Your Students
  • OBTP 3: Delivering Content
  • OBTP 4: Building Community
  • OBTP 5: Supporting Your Students
  • OBTP 6: Evaluating Your Course
