This workshop covers both technical and pedagogical aspects of learning and using TurningPoint clickers (also known as student response systems, or SRS) in a 2-hour session. Examples of ‘best clicker practices’ in the classroom are included.

SRS allow instructors to integrate questions into their PowerPoint presentations.  Students respomd using a mobile device (wireless-equipped laptop, notebook, netbook, tablet, smart phone…) or  a handheld dedicated clicker. Used effectively, these devices can transform traditionally passive lecture classes into more stimulating interactive classes.  Here are some workshop options/opportunties:

      • Laptops will be provided for the workshops.  However, if you wish to bring your own, please make sure it is fully charged, with TurningPoint v5.2 (TP v.5.2) already installed.  Download the appropriate software from one of the sites below:
