This workshop has been cancelled due to the Corona virus and is in the process of being moved to an asynchronous “self-enrollment” format that will be available 24/7 indefinitely. I will post the link to this Canvas site once all materials have been upload and PowerPoint slides have been recorded. Please contact me if you have questions, would like a phone consultation, or experience difficulties at email@example.com.
This session is applicable to all course formats: Face-to-face, online, or blended.
The first day of any class must introduce students to the course and the syllabus, but what else could happen? What if we were able to jump start student curiosity about the subject and find out what they know or think they know? What if we could dissolve norms of passivity and anonymity and begin to connect with our students, students to students, and to the core ideas of the course? What if they left excited, engaged, and wondering about questions that they hadn’t known they had about this subject? Review the syllabus on the first day AND shift your course into active learning from the start!
Registration is closed for this workshop.
