Course learning outcomes have become an essential component of courses today. When written clearly with transparent language and backwards design, they form the blueprint and parameters of the course and inform all of the design decisions. However, not everyone is familiar with the language of learning or they can reflect the learning intended. My goal is for you to fall in love with your course outcomes!!
We will review the implications of how they are stated for the assignments you create, rubrics and other assessments used, and in class activities designed. Participants will examine two taxonomies of learning to decipher the language that articulates the learning students will demonstrate and will practice writing learning outcomes.
