Electronic Portfolios (or ePortfolios) are flexible spaces that allow students and instructors to collect and present information in a variety of contexts, whether for academic or professional development use.
The new D2L ePortfolio tool is built within the D2L course management system, is easy to access and use, and allows you and your students to craft items that can be shared both within and outside of D2L.
During this 2-hour workshop we will explore how ePortfolios can be effective in assessing and engaging your students with assignments that are more dynamic and learner-centered. We will look at examples of ePortfolios and discuss the elements that can go into making them. Finally, in a hands-on portion, workshop participants will create items and add them to a D2L ePortfolio, practice creating web-based Presentations, share and comment on the ePortfolios of others, add additional material to their own portfolios, including rich media, and discuss ways to integrate the ePortfolio into individual courses.
