The novice to seasoned rubric user will gain confidence and skill in designing rubrics that lead students to think, engage in the learning process, and not just complete a product. When well aligned with course learning outcomes, rubrics can be used for peer review, self-assessment, scaffolding larger assignments, and overall reduce the instructor’s workload effectively.

Bring a simple or complex assignment to the workshop, or bring an assignment that has been disappointing, unclear, or is perfect, but just lacks a tool to assess it well.  Some laptops are provided – bring your own if possible to design during the session! All participants will receive the CETL Rubrics booklet!
